Instagram Reels Not Working Fix

Instagram Reels Not Working Fix: iPhone and Android

Is there any sort of Instagram Reels not working fix for the popular video recording feature, on both iPhone and Android devices? Users attempting to try out the feature on the mobile version may find Instagram Reels not recording on either iOS or Android, or having the buttons missing so no options can be selected. Is this a bug, or does the Instagram Reels buttons missing error have an easy fix?

Is there an Instagram Reels not working fix?

To fix Instagram Reels on iPhone and Android:

  • Close and restart the Instagram app. This should fix most errors.
  • Check Reels through multiple access areas — at the bottom of the navigation bar, on the New Post screen, etc.
  • Log out of the Instagram app and log back in again.
  • If necessary, log out and delete the app entirely, then re-download and log back in again.
  • Make sure the app is updated to its most recent version.
  • Close and restart the phone, and make sure it is updated too.

If the Instagram Reels feature is still not recording or possibly even showing any options when it is pulled up after going through these various fixes, users should report the problem to Instagram directly so they can work on a fix for a future update. Go to the account page and click on the three horizontal lines button on the top left, then Settings, Help, and Report a Problem. Describe the issue with Instagram Reels and submit it. Beyond that, keep on trying the fixes above, and hopefully the feature will start working again.
