Dragon Quest Builders 2 is the latest Game Trial to be offered to Nintendo Switch Online members. Starting today, April 20, players will have a week to play the unlimited demo of the block-building RPG and can even attempt to complete the entire game if they choose.
When is the Dragon Quest Builders 2 trial available?
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is available to Nintendo Switch Online members from today, April 20, and the trial will run until 11:59 PM PT on April 26. Players can download the game by heading over to the Nintendo eShop, selecting Nintendo Switch Online from the left-hand menu, and selecting the Game Trial event.
The trial will allow players access to the entire game, including online co-op with fellow Game Trial participants and those who own the full game but only during the trial period. Any progress made during the week will be transferred to the full version of the game if players decide to make a purchase afterward.
The game will be on sale at 40% off throughout the trial period and a few days beyond that. The full game, the Season Pass, and the Dragon Quest Builders 2 + Season Pass bundle are all discounted until 11:59 PM PT on May 3. The pass includes the Hotto Stuff Pack, the Aquarium Pack, and the Modernist Pack, all of which can be purchased separately too. Players can purchase DLC for the game during the trial period but will be unable to use it once the trial ends unless they buy the full game.
In other news, Sonic Origins and its DLC options have been detailed and SEGA has managed to make it sound far more complicated than it actually is. The compilation will be released in June. Elsewhere, the latest Horizon Forbidden west patch has managed to free Aloy from the bathroom in her base. I think this is something with which we can all sympathize.
