Naughty Dog and PlayStation Studios have revealed that the release date for the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection PC port will be October 19. The two-pack bundle that includes Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which released in January this year remastered on PS5, will come with new graphical options when it arrives on PC. 4K support is merely the tip of the iceberg.
New options for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection PC version
Working with developer Iron Galaxy, Naughty Dog has planned a host of new features and quality-of-life enhancements specifically for this PC version. First and foremost is true 4K resolution, along with ultra-wide monitor support. To play the Collection in 60 FPS at 4K Ultra settings, the developer recommends that your PC has an Intel i9-9900k or Ryzen 9 3950X CPU, and an Nvidia RTX 3080 or AMD RX 6800 GPU. You can view a more complete list of recommended specs for general Mininum, Recommended, and Performance modes on the official PlayStation blog.
The PC port will also include a reimagined UI, scale slider, variable load speed, GPU, and VRAM detection, and many more settings. If your computer can handle it, you can also boost the framerate using a “next-level temporal upscaling solution” called AMD Fidelity FX Super Resolution 2. There’s nothing explicitly stated in the blog post about VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), but given that it was added as part of update 1.002 on PS5 as a menu option, it’s likely that this will be carried over to the PC version. On top of that, you can tweak the graphical settings like anisotropic filtering, ambient occlusion, texture and model quality, shadows, and reflections. Support with the DualShock 4 controller as well as RPG support for compatible devices are also available.
The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is available for pre-purchase on Steam and Pic for $49.99. At the moment, you can find the Collection at a discount of $43.99 on Green Man Gaming.
In other news, The Sims 4 is going free-to-play very soon, and the Xbox Game Pass version of GoldenEye 007 will sadly not have online multiplayer.
