Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales PC Release Window Revealed

A new teaser trailer has revealed (well, re-confirmed really) that the Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales PC release window will be fall 2022. The PC version of the game will appear on Steam and Epic Games Store. No price was given, but considering that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is going for the full $59.99 at the moment, that will likely be the same price for the sequel. The PC release coming so soon is a bit of a surprise given that Spider-Man Remastered was only released last month on August 12.

What to expect for Miles Morales PC graphics settings

The 30-second teaser posted above doesn’t reveal much about what new graphical options we might see for the Miles Morales PC port. But we know that Nixxes Software, a Dutch-based software company owned by PlayStation Studios, is in charge of the project, teaming up with Insomniac Games once more as it did with Spider-Man Remastered. Granted, the PC version of Miles Morales likely won’t need as much of a graphical boost as its predecessor since the game came out on PS5 in November 2020.

Still, if the Spider-Man Remastered PC port is anything to go by, we should see new options for ultra-wide aspect ratios, settings for ray-tracing and an unlocked framerate, Nvidia DLSS, DLAA, and other upscaling solutions like AMD FSR 2.0. The recommended options for Ultimate Ray-Tracing for Spider-Man Remastered on PC, which will allow you to run it in 4K at 60 fps, include an RTX 3080 or RX 6950 XT GPU, an Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU, and 32 GB of RAM. So if you’re looking to play Miles Morales on PC at peak performance, your rig will need to be within the same ballpark.

As reported on our sister site PlayStation LifeStyle, Spider-Man Remastered hit the third spot in the Top 20 video games for August 2022 in terms of dollars sales in the US, according to NPD. By comparison, the game was sitting in 84th place in September 2022’s chart, revealing how robust the market is for pristine PC ports of PlayStation’s console exclusives.

In other news, the release date for the Pokemon Ed Sheeran song “Celestial” has been revealed, and Steam Deck production will be increasing but orders in Canada have been hit with a snag.
