Pokemon Ed Sheeran Song ‘Celestial’ Release Date Revealed

The Pokemon Ed Sheeran song “Celestial” has been given a release date of September 29, as revealed by the official Twitter account of the popular singer and known Pokemon fan. It will release just in time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series. This isn’t the first time Sheeran has collaborated with Pokemon either. In November 2021, he was featured in a performance for Pokemon Go where he sang a handful of songs from his album.

Ed Sheeran has shared some partial lyrics to Pokemon song “Celestial”

The announcement on Twitter comes paired with an interesting black-and-white doodle of Ed Sheeran with a broad-faced Pikachu on his shoulder, along with a plain, turquoise background. Some fans speculate that the picture means that “Celestial” will come paired with a music video or animation in the same style of the picture when it releases.

Those who follow Ed Sheeran on TikTok likely won’t be too surprised by the collaboration as the artist posted a 22-second sneak peek of the song on September 14. Laying on a bed with a bunch of Pokemon plushies, which is apparently “only half of his collection,” the singer sings a short section of the lyrics for “Celestial” while acoustically playing a guitar:

“You make me feel

Like my troubled heart is a million miles away

You make me feel

Like I’m drunk on stars and we’re dancing out into space

Celestial”

In mid-August, Sheeran appeared in a cameo at the 2022 Pokemon World Championships in London, where leakers speculated that he created an in-game song for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. If true, this song “Celestial” could be a part of the official soundtrack for the game. Either way, the song can be pre-saved or pre-added on Spotify, Deezer, and Apple Music before release.

In other news, a new overview trailer for Dragon Quest Treasures goes into detail on the game’s base-building, and Fortnite leaks are reportedly a “logistical headache” for Epic Games and the publisher is cracking down on them.
