The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sales numbers are in, and perhaps unsurprisingly, the game has quickly become the fastest-selling entry in the legendary video game franchise’s history.
How many copies did The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sell?
In a recent tweet from Nintendo of America, the company revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sales had crossed the 10 million mark. This makes the game the fastest-selling in the history of The Legend of Zelda franchise, and likely one of the best-selling games of the entire year in only a few short days. With more sales figures likely to come next month, it’s likely Tears of the Kingdom will post even bigger numbers as well.
The sales figures come following a stellar launch for the highly anticipated sequel to 2017 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and despite having a high bar to clear, it seems like Nintendo has once again done it. Breath of the Wild, for comparison, has sold just shy of 30 million units total in the last six years.
