The Baldur’s Gate 3 Hidden Goblin Stash is clearly marked on the map, but it can still be difficult to locate. Many players report going to the marker in the Forest area of the overworld, which is close to the Blighted Village. (This is where you can find the Necromancy of Thay by the way.) However, they are unable to figure out where the chest is. Or in some instances, the marker stays on the map despite the treasure chest being found. Either way, here’s how to dig up the hidden goblin stash in BG3.
How to find Baldur’s Gate 3 hidden goblin stash
The main way to find the hidden goblin stash is to pass a Survival check to spot the dirt mount where the treasure chest hides and then use the shovel at coordinates X 77, Y 347.
Now, it’s possible that your party is unlucky in passing the Survival check necessary to spot the treasure. It’s a silly that you still can’t dig up the chest even though there is a clear marker on where it is. At any rate, if this happens to you, you can either go back to camp and bring other party members to see if they can spot it, or you can still use the shovel to dig up that particular area.
To use the shovel manually, you can double-click on the shovel in your inventory or you can right-click on it and select the Dig option. Either way, you can then hover the shovel icon that appears and click on the dig spot. The chest should pop up from the ground as if you had found the dirt mound.
However, if you already found this hidden chest and dug it up before you were given the treasure’s location, there’s a possibility that the marker will stay on the map as a bug. This actually happened in our runthrough of the game, and we tried various ways to fix the glitch to no avail. Hopefully, Larian Studios will be able patch this is in the next hotfix.
