You don’t need to need to use the trumpet mushrooms here, but using a standard Mugwort (that is, not a Salts of Mugwort) will get you one Elixir of Silvanus.
The Elixir of Silvanus is a potion that neutralizes all poisons, so it’s really just an antidote with a fancier name. It is described as a tonic that is blessed by the Oak Father himself that will “cure even the most baneful poisons.”
Fortunately, you can use multiple bundles of Mugwort to create as many Elixir of Silvanus potions as you want with the cauldron. This is quite valuable since poisons become deadlier as you progress through the game in Act 2 and Act 3. So having a lot of antidotes in your back pocket now will help in later acts.
