When you first start Armored Core 6, you may wonder if it has multiplayer. The option for PvP, co-op, or split-screen isn’t available on the main menu, so you may be led to believe it’s single-player only. However, that’s not the case. You just have to wait to unlock it.
How to unlock multiplayer in Armored Core 6
When you start playing Armored Core 6, the option for multiplayer is nowhere to be found. You won’t get the option to enter a multiplayer match until you complete the last Chapter 2 mission, “Ocean Crossing.” After you finish it and begin Chapter 3, you’ll get a message from Ayre that she’s found some sort of special support program:
“Raven.
I was looking into the Arena, and I discovered something you might want to know about.
It’s a network service that was labeled “Nest,” with no obvious clues about its purpose. From what I can tell, it’s a special mercenary support program – encrypted and kept secret.
I’ve installed a backdoor so you’ll have no trouble getting in as you please.”
As you can probably guess by now, the Nest option is where you access online multiplayer for Armored Core 6.
Does Armored Core 6 have PvP?
The multiplayer in AC6 is centered around PvP. It’s pretty rudimentary, and the only options at launch are either a 3-vs-3 or 1-vs-1 battle.
Does Armored Core 6 have co-op?
Unfortunately, AC6 lacks the complex multiplayer that was seen in Armored Core: Verdict Day. So, there are no co-op campaign or multiplayer options aside from PvP.
Does AC6 have split-screen multiplayer?
There’s no option for local split-screen in AC6. Multiplayer is limited to online only for this title.
That’s all you need to know about multiplayer in Armored Core 6. Happy dueling, and may the best pilot prevail.
