League of Legends ‘Find Match’ Not Working Fix: How to Click the Button

There’s nothing worse than internet connection issues when you’re trying to find a match in League of Legends, and one of the errors this can cause is the “Find Match” button to be greyed out. There’s also a problem when the button is pressed but nothing happens. Here’s how to fix both of these issues if they aren’t an issue with the game’s servers that can only be fixed by Riot Games.

How to fix the League of Legends ‘Find Match’ errors

When these errors occur, players are put into a match queue but the client does not update. To check whether there is an issue with the League of Legends’ servers, you can check the Riot Games Support Twitter account or their server status site for any announcements. If there are no server issues, there are several fixes you can try to get their game working again so you don’t lose connection in a draft and accidentally dodge a game.

  1. Close and restart League of Legends
  2. Reboot your PC
  3. Test your internet connection to make completely sure there are no problems with your connection. Restart your modem and router if necessary.
  4. Repair your game to verify the integrity of your game files:
    1. Open the game and open Settings by clicking the gear icon in the upper-right corner
    2. Click “Initiate Full Repair” in the General tab and confirm Yes.
  5. Make sure all of your PC drivers are updated

If none of the above solutions help to fix the “Find Match” errors, you can report a bug via the Riot Games official support website.
