As a currency, Like A Dragon Gaiden cash is arguably the most important. To upgrade all of Kazuma Kiryu’s skills and abilities, you need a vast amount of money, along with a large amount of Akame Network points. Near the endgame, pushing Kiryu’s health and attack stat to Kiwami levels requires 3 million yen for every upgrade. Given that enemies drop about 3000 to 5000 yen in Chapter 1, that might sound like a ridiculous amount of cash. But there are several ways to earn money fast that will make 3 million yen not sound very much. Here’s how to get cash quickly in Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
How to gain Like a Dragon Gaiden cash fast
The best way to earn cash in Like A Dragon Gaiden is to defeat enemies in the Coliseum that becomes available near the end of Chapter 2. The following fights are what we recommend that you grind for money:
- Hell Rumble – Silver Rumble for 240,000 Base Yen
- Hell Rumble – Gold Power Rumble for 600,000 Base Yen
- Hell Rumble – Super Rumble 1 for 1,200,000 Base Yen
- Hell Team Rumble – Gold Tiger Festival 1 for 600,000 Base Yen
- Hell Team Rumble – Platinum Tiger Festival 4 for 2,000,000 Base Yen
If you enjoy fighting solo, the Hell Rumble fights above are the best for grinding out money, in addition to fans. But if you’re trying to grind out your team’s experience points and overall bond with Kiryu, the two Hell Team Rumble options above are great. Both of these team fights include 10 members of your team and don’t feature any enemies that are particularly difficult.
In the early game, before you have access to the Coliseum, you can find some quick cash by finding locker keys and various items around town using the Spider gadget that reveal themselves to be Platinum Plates. You can pawn these off at any pawn shop for 200,000 yen each. This should hold you over until the Coliseum is unlocked.
