Some players are experiencing the Blue Screen of Death every time they try to play The Day Before. This particular issue is frustrating because it causes your PC to reset every time you start the game. As such, it might make you nervous to even try launching it. However, we’ll look at some potential fixes for BSOD in The Day Before that might alleviate your woes.
Can you fix the Blue Screen of Death in The Day Before?
So far, I haven’t found a way to fix the Blue Screen of Death in The Day Before. Each time I try to launch the game, it either crashes or I get a BSOD, and my PC resets.
It’s almost definitely a GPU problem, but rolling back to an old driver doesn’t help either. You can see my specs above, so if your PC is similar, you’ll likely run into some issues. Unfortunately, there’s not enough data to make an educated guess on what’s causing the problem.
If you can’t wait for a patch to fix the issue, there are a few things you can try to alleviate the BSODs in The Day Before:
- Update drivers
- Reset PC
- Validate Game Files
- Try playing on another PC
Update Drivers
To tackle the Blue Screen of Death in The Day Before, start by updating your graphics driver. Outdated drivers often cause game-related BSODs. Download the latest driver from your graphics card manufacturer’s website.
Reset PC
If updating drivers doesn’t work, reset your PC. This step can resolve underlying system issues causing the game to crash. Remember to back up important data before resetting.
Validate Game Files
Corrupted or missing game files can also lead to BSODs. Use your gaming platform’s feature to verify the integrity of The Day Before’s game files, which can fix such issues.
Try Playing on Another PC
If other solutions fail, play The Day Before on a different PC. This helps identify if the issue is with your specific computer or the game itself, aiding further troubleshooting.
