The Day Before server size can be tough to figure when you hop into the game. The number of servers is limited per region, particularly during the game’s launch in Early Access. But The Day Before doesn’t make it easy to see how many players can be in a server, though given that the servers are almost always full or perhaps “high” if you’re lucky, it would seem to be very low. That is, if you can even get past the connection issues and crashes. There is no counter while you are in a session either that easily tells you how many other players are in the same world as you. Here is the number of players that can be a part of a server in The Day Before for PC.
What is The Day Before server size?
The server size for The Day Before is 32 players.
Developer Fntastic stated that the game was a MMO survival game, but it’s really an extraction shooter with a limited number of players. Given the high amount of interest for the game, which was the #2 most wishlisted game on Steam, it’s surprising that there were so few servers available on launch day and such a limited number of players allowed to be in each one.
A recent hotfix or patch 1.0.1 changed servers so that you can now only see the servers that have free slots available. We’re not sure if that’s particularly useful for you since it looks like the developer seems to be hiding how many servers there actually are.
We expect that Fntastic will increase the number of servers and hopefully increase the server size over time during Early Access. A lot of feedback from users on the game’s official Discord has been that the server size is just too small. Some want it to be expanded to 50 or 64 players, but either way, the message is clear from the community.
