Chinese bootleg Apex Legends figures

These Chinese bootleg Apex Legends figures from eBay are probably cursed

Take a moment to stare into the black, soulless eyes from these Chinese bootleg Apex Legends figures. Don’t take too long, otherwise they may devour your soul. These figures are supposedly based on the characters from Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale game, but the resemblances are vague, to say the least. Let’s not get started on the coloring, with Mirage being one of the major offenders – was that inspired by some yet to be released skin?

Reddit user shenhua111 is the “proud” owner of these brand-new Apex Legends figures. The eBay listing has the 8-piece package retailing for $19.10, not exactly a bargain considering the quality at hand. The pack comes with Mirage, Bangalore, Gibby, Pathfinder, Bloodhound, Wraith, Caustic, and Lifeline.

It’s probably safe to say that the figures look extremely creepy, but still made up for an extremely fun Reddit thread. The original poster says that “Would recommend 10/10,” while other Reddit users add that “these are certainly cursed. But they do come with a free frozen yogurt, I hear.”

Other users prefer to take a jab at Electronic Arts, recently involved in a controversy surrounding the Apex Legends Iron Crown event. They call these figures “new skins”, selling for $11 each, a not-so-subtle shot at the steep prices for each weapon or banner skin in Apex Legends.

Obviously, these Chinese bootleg skins have nothing on Weta Workshop’s upcoming Apex Legends line. Scheduled for a November 2019 release, the Apex Legends collection features some stunning creations, with characters in cool poses. Prices range from $29.99 each for the Mini Epics line, featuring Bangalore, Bloodhound, and Mirage, but you can also look forward to the stylish, high-quality PVC Lifeline (9” tall), Wraith (8.1” tall), and Pathfinder (12.8” tall) figurines costing $99.99 each.

All things considered, and judging by the photos below, maybe it’s wiser to wait for the official Apex Legends figures?
