Monster Hunter World has dropped its 1.06 update, fixing bugs, as well as sorting one of the game’s minor quibbles when it comes to online parties.
The Monster Hunter World 1.06 update clocks in at a tiny 82MB, hinting at the real lack of any big changes to the game.
Bugs can be an issue while stomping your way through the New World – and I’m not just talking about the ones you can fire at the litany of large and terrifying monsters that roam the lands. Capcom have seen fit to polish off a few of the lingering bugs that still remain.
The patch notes reveal the previous 1.05 update affected players who had over 30 Slashberries in their inventory. That update decreased the overall limit you could hold from 60 to 30, with Monster Hunter World 1.06 finally taken into account for that discrepancy by pushing all Slashberries over 30 from your item pouch into your item box.
The second, and more pressing issue for those not addicted to Slashberries, involves online parties. The Monster Hunter World 1.06 update sees online parties given the once over. Where previously, uninvited players could occasionally join a Squad Online Session, they can now no longer do so. On the flip side, players who were invited to a Squad Online Session and found they couldn’t join should now have the ability to join.
The full patch notes from Capcom are as follows:
Fixed an issue that occurred when players had 31 or more Slashberries in their item pouch at the time of the last update (PS4: Update 1.05) where the maximum number of Slashberries a player can hold in their item pouch was reduced from 60 to 30. This update will move any Slashberries exceeding 30 in your item pouch to your item box.
Made additional fixes to an issue fixed in the last update (PS4: Update 1.05) where, rarely, uninvited non-squad members could join a Squad Online Session, or Squad members could not join one of their own.
