Destiny 2 Chicken Error Code: How to Fix Error Code Chicken

If you’re trying to get into the game after this week’s hotfix, the Destiny 2 Chicken error code may be affecting you. Annoyingly, there doesn’t appear to be a great deal you can do to fix it on your end. However, there are a couple of things you can try to help you get back on the Forsaken saddle.

Destiny 2 Chicken Error Code: What is Error Code Chicken?

destiny 2 chicken error code connection issue

If you see the Chicken error then, using the game’s phrasing, you will have lost connection to the game’s character servers. With Destiny 2 being an always-online MMO, being unable to access your character’s data stored in the cloud means, for the time being, the copy of your game has been effectively bricked. You won’t be able to play Destiny 2, unfortunately, until it’s fixed.

Destiny 2 Chicken Error Code: How to Fix the Chicken Error

There’s not one clear and obvious way to fix the Destiny 2 Chicken error, unfortunately. However, Bungie has recommended turning your console/client on and off again. If that doesn’t work for some strange reason, you’re going to want to clear out your console cache on Xbox One or PS4.

To do that, simply turn off your console and unplug it from your power supply. Leave it like this for five or so minutes, then go and switch the console back on. Fingers crossed, that may have cleared out the cobwebs, despite the fact that the problem appears to be on Bungie’s end.

The best way of fixing it (and you’re not going to want to hear this) is having the patience of a saint. That’s because Bungie has indicated to players that it’s still working on a fix for the error. Let’s hope one comes imminently, especially if the two methods above don’t work out for you.
