Destiny 2 Guardian Voice Actor: Who’s Voicing the Guardians in Destiny 2?

The Guardians can speak again! That’s right, the Destiny 2 Guardian voice, previously rendered silent, has managed to pipe up for the first time since the original Destiny. But some of them, once the Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC drops come September 4, may sound quite familiar to you. Let’s go through the entire list of Destiny 2 Guardian voice actors to see who’s providing the voice behind your player character.

Destiny 2 Guardian Voice Actor: Who’s Voicing the Guardians in Destiny 2?

According to IMDb, there are currently six Destiny 2 Guardian voice actors, depending on gender and a few other factors regarding your character. They are as follows:

  • Cree Summer: Exo Female
  • Matthew Mercer: Human Male
  • Crispin Freeman: Awoken Male
  • Susan Eisenberg: Human Female
  • Grey Griffin: Awoken Female
  • Peter Jessop: Exo Male

While previously they only appeared in Destiny 2 through death screams, grunts, and the like, they appear to be getting more fully-fledged roles in the very near-future. Despite this, nothing has been officially confirmed by Bungie at the time of writing, though that could soon change.

Cree Summer has provided voices in the original Destiny, as well as Auriel in Diablo 3. Matthew Mercer, meanwhile, is McCree in Overwatch.

The video game voice actor history also runs deep with a few of the others mentioned above. Crispin Freeman is actually also the player in Metal Gear Survive, while Susan Eisenberg has a long and storied history of voicing Wonder Woman across multiple mediums.

Finally, Grey Griffin may be noticeable to a fair few gamers after her stint as Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City. She’s also appeared on the other side of the law, brilliant, as Carmelita Fox in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. Peter Jessop, though, is probably the most recognizable of the bunch. He’s Paladin Danse in Fallout 4 and has only bloody played Albert Wesker too. Talk about range.
