The Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2 is out now, and you’re probably sitting back and trying to enjoy a stream of the new Last Wish Raid. If you’re still playing the game though you may be hunting in raids to find catalysts, such as the popular Sleeper Simulant exotic catalyst. How do you get the Destiny 2 Sleeper Simulant catalyst, and what do you do when you find it? We’re here to help.
Where to Find the Destiny 2 Sleeper Simulant Catalyst
The Sleeper Simulant exotic catalyst can only be found in the Spire of Stars Prestige raid which was introduced as part of the last expansion for Destiny 2, Warmind. The catalyst can drop from any encounter completion chest in the raid, and unfortunately it’s completely random.
Remember, it’s only in the prestige mode of the raid lair, so you’ll probably need to be a pretty high Power level such as 380 to even take it on. It’s going to be tough, and you’ll probably need to join up with a raid group and keeping farming Spire of Stars until you get it. Or you could get lucky and get it on your first try.
How to Complete the Destiny 2 Sleeper Simulant Catalyst
After a lot of raid farming (probably) you’ve finally received the Sleeper Simulant exotic catalyst. Well done, but now what do you do with it? You’ll need to complete it, of course. First you’ll need to get a lot of kills with each Escalation Protocol weapon, which equates to 1,000 sniper kills, 1,000 shotgun kills, and 2,000 submachine-gun kills. Head into other raids like Leviathan and start farming those kills.
Next you’ll need to get the Sleeper Simulant IO-JYS2 catalyst completion, which is in the last Oracle chest of the Whisper mission. You’ll get this after earning Whisper of the Worm. And then after all that, to finish the catalyst once and for all you’ll need to get 500 kills with the Sleeper Simulant itself. Then finally you can use the catalyst to get the weapon to a Masterwork.
