Bungie could rest on its laurels, but it doesn’t want to. In fact, the developer has bestowed upon as a brand-new plaything, an arena which harkens back to the good ol’ days of the original Destiny, but with a twist. Destiny 2 Crucible Convergence Map: What is the New Crucible Map?
As per Bungie on Twitter, the Destiny 2 Crucible Convergence map is a “reprisal” of a classic Destiny map. In this case, it appears to be a re-imagining of the Pantheon map in the original Destiny. Note the markings behind the players in Bungie’s tweet below. It has to be that, though many players may not have played it firs time around as it was included in the Dark Below DLC.

The map is classic Bungie: verticality, symmetry, and tight spaces all, ahem, converge to provide players with a map that tests both skill and reaction times in equal measure.
Destiny 2 Crucible Convergence Map: Release Time
Set your alarms. You can jump in and play the Destiny 2 Crucible Convergence map today, September 18, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific/1:00 p.m. EST and 6:oo p.m. if you live in the U.K.
Bungie has not given an end date, and has explicitly said it’s not linked to the week-long Iron Banner event, so we can expect the map to stick around for the foreseeable future.
Destiny 2 Crucible Convergence Map: Do I Need the Forsaken DLC?
While the Destiny 2 Crucible Convergence map is free for all Destiny 2 users, This Week in Bungie outlines that those who own the Forsaken DLC will be able to exclusively use the map in private matches. Other than that, basic Destiny 2 players are free to fire this up with any playlist available to them.
