With its release now upon us, a fair few will be asking how to take a bath in Red Dead Redemption 2.With its release now upon us, a fair few will be asking how to take a bath in RDR2. This mechanic may seem useless at first, but it does affect the game in some interesting ways. This guide will show exactly what not bathing will do and how to clean up.

How To Take A Bath in Red Dead Redemption 2

Taking a bath in Red Dead Redemption 2 may seem like a small part of the game, but it does change how the world will see you. Throughout your time in the old west, you will get covered in mud, blood, and other various nasty things. It initially will seem like it means nothing, but NPCs will react to your cleanliness.

Various citizens of the town will avoid you and your gang members may even try to stage an intervention. Cleaning may also lead to NPCs to be more friendly to you. This can help since it will allow you to get information and quests from them easier.

But what if you do get unhygienic and need to clean? The easiest (and least expensive) way to do this is by simply walking into a river. This won’t clean everything off, but it will get some grime off of you. Baths are also available for you to use, and will completely clean you.

There are two kinds of bathing services available: a standard bath that costs 25 cents, and a “deluxe” one that is 50 cents. The difference between the two is that a “deluxe” bath will have a woman helping you bathe. It doesn’t mechanically change anything and looks to be some fan service. You will be able to find bathing establishments in Valentine and Strawberry.
