Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the biggest games of the year, and it’s packed full of hidden secrets to find. Some of them are spookier than others, such as the Ghost of Bluewater Marsh, but one of the most famous Rockstar Easter eggs is the Bigfoot. Is there a Red Dead Redemption 2 Bigfoot hiding in the wilderness, or is it just another hoax like that San Andreas thing? Call us the mythbusters.
Where to Go to Find the Red Dead Redemption 2 Bigfoot
Unlike GTA: San Andreas, which started the running joke, there is absolutely a Bigfoot in Red Dead Redemption 2, but it may not be what you expect. To find it, you’ll need to head to Mount Shann in Big Valley, just north of the town of Strawberry. If you’re heading from Strawberry, stick a waypoint on the exact point on the map above, right in the middle of the “T” in “West.” Head up the mountain on the main path, and you should reach a fork in the path next to one of the peaks. Head right. Here’s where it gets interesting.
How to Find the Red Dead Redemption 2 Bigfoot
Once you’re at the spot on the map and headed right at that fork in the path, you’ll probably have seen an eagle sitting on a rock, which will fly away when you get close. That’s where you need to be. Just to the left of this rock are two bushes. Head between those bushes and you’ll discover a little path that slopes downwards. A short distance down that path and you’ll find a massive skeleton. This is the remains of the Red Dead Redemption 2 Bigfoot.
You’ll be able to examine the skeleton, and Arthur will jot down in his logbook about the giant he found. It’ll now be on the map, too. It’s not quite the same as the Bigfoot you could talk to in Undead Nightmare for the first game, but it’s still a cool nod to the long-running Rockstar Easter egg. Stick around Mount Shann though, and you might get to see a UFO…
