As an outlaw in Red Dead Redemption 2, you’ll be used to robbing people. Did you know, however, that you can fall victim to an RDR 2 NPC robbery too? Here’s how to go about getting your money back if you are robbed.
Red Dead Redemption 2 NPC Robbery – What’s the Problem?
Some players have revealed that they’ve been the victims of pickpocketing in certain areas of Red Dead Redemption 2. One Reddit user took to the subreddit to state that they had lost over $350 in Saint Denis after falling prey to one such criminal.
Given that they couldn’t believe it had happened, they elected not to do anything about it and lost their hard-earned cash. With money being a major part of the game and a necessity for the Van der Linde gang, it’s a huge loss if you become the victim of a robbery.
Red Dead Redemption 2 NPC Robbery – How to Get Your Money Back
If you fall victim to a pickpocket, get ready to chase that person down. First, sprint after them by tapping the “A” button on your Xbox One controller, or “X” button on your PS4 gamepad, to catch up to them. Once you’re in range, you should be able to hit the “B” or “O” button on your respective controller to melee them and knock them to the ground.
Once you’ve done that, you should be able to get your cash back by beating it out of them or simply looting their body, if you’ve knocked them out or even killed them. Just be aware that anyone who sees you chasing down a man or woman, beating them senseless, and looting their body, could alert the authorities. It’ll be best to run for your life once you get your cash back if anyone reports your crime unless you want to lose that money again.
