Red Dead Redemption 2 Oleander – Where to Find

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Oleander request quest has you searching for an Oleander plant for Javier. Just as with finding a pocket mirror for Molly, a Penny Dreadful for Jack, and a necklace for Tilly, finding and bringing back an Oleander plant for Javier will set you on your way to completing the Errand Boy trophy/achievement. What else does completing the quest do? Find out below.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Oleander – What is the Request?

As soon as you have found and added Javier to your camp, you will be able to take on his quest to find an Oleander plant. You can find the plant whenever you want, however, which means that you can finish the quest as soon as Javier gives it to you if you have the plant already.

Completing Javier’s request not only sets you on your way towards completing the Errand Boy trophy/achievement, but it will net you a couple of in-game rewards, too. Once Javier has his Oleander, he will add some money to your camp’s donation box, and give you an item in reward. What’s more, the Oleander plants are very useful in terms of crafting. You can craft poison arrows with Oleanders, for example. Now, let’s get to finding them.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Oleander – Location

Red Dead Redemption 2 Oleander

Spotting the large, red flower can be tricky. Thankfully, they grow in a number of different locations. You’ll find Oleander plants in the Bayou Nwa region, which is surrounded by the Kansas River. The map above highlights the three areas within the Bayou Nwa where you’ll find the Oleander. While they are large and red, the Oleander will blend into the area. Thankfully, they do emit a golden glow, as other important items in the game will. Be careful of the wildlife you’ll come across in the marshy area of the Bayou Nwa, however. Having half of your torso eaten probably isn’t worth it for some pesky flowers.
