The brand-new Resident Evil 2 1.02 update is live now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. While little has changed in the base game, the 1.02 update brings with it the much-anticipated Ghost Survivors DLC. What else is new in the 1.02 update? Read on for the full Resident Evil 2 update 1.02 patch notes and more.
Resident Evil 2 update 1.02 patch notes | What’s new?
As stated above, little of note has changed in the base game of the Resident Evil 2 remake. Several small bug fixes, however, have taken place thanks to the update. There are only three patch notes for the new 1.02 update. These are as follows:
- Bug fixes
- New Trophies and Achievements added
- The Ghost Survivors DLC
Despite the short length of the full patch notes, the Resident Evil 2 1.02 update is a big one. Better yet, it adds the hotly-anticipated Ghost Survivors DLC for free. The new Trophies and Achievements that have been added are for the Ghost Survivors DLC, too. It appears, however, that there are only two new Trophies to unlock. Hell of a Sheriff (complete the No Way Out scenario without training mode) and Got ‘Em (destroy all Mr. Raccoons hidden in The Ghost Survivors mode).
On top of all of this, you can now download the low-poly original skins for both Leon and Claire. Simply head onto your console’s store, search for Resident Evil 2 remake and look under the DLC. Both the Resident Evil 2 Leon and Claire Costume ’98 should now be available to download for free.
Resident Evil 2 update 1.02 patch notes | What is The Ghost Survivors DLC?
The Ghost Survivors is a free DLC pack that gives you four new scenarios to play through (three at once and a secret fourth for completing the three new ones). The three Ghost Survivors scenarios are as follows:
- Forgotten Soldier
- No Time to Mourn
- Runaway
In the three small scenarios, you play as a mysterious member of Umbrella’s security team, Robert Kendo (owner of the gun store), and Katherine Warren (the Mayor’s daughter), respectively.
