It took a month or so but the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack has been unofficially revealed just ahead of its official reveal. Before now, little was known about its release date and what characters were going to be part of it. Luckily, we’re here to bring what information we know about it. Find out more about the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack as well as the Terminator, Sindel, Joker, and Spawn release dates in this guide.
Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack | Characters
The Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack is introducing six new playable characters to the roster. These characters have apparently been leaked before the trailer’s debut (and ended up being correct). They are:
- Shang Tsung
- Spawn
- Nightwolf
- Sindel
- Terminator T-800
- Joker
This is somewhat accurate to what dataminers have of uncovered not too long ago. Iconic DC villain Joker, the Terminator, and classic Mortal Kombat characters Nightwolf, Sindel, and Sheeva have all been found within the game’s files. Mortal Kombat has a rich history of third-party fighters, so expect one of them to be right on the money. Nightwolf, Shang Tsung, and Sindel all give credence to this whole list since those are confirmed. However, this doesn’t also confirm the rest of those fighters.
Ash from Evil Dead was another, but actor Bruce Campbell has already shot those rumors down on Twitter. We guess we’ll just have to wait and see what NetherRealm have up its sleeve in the near future. But coincidentally, the Shang Tsung trailer had a chainsaw sound effect at the end, which Ash is known for.
NetherRealm has released Frost, and Shao Kahn as pre-order bonuses or unlockable characters to play as, but these are not part of the Kombat Pack.

Mortal Kombat 11 Shang Tsung | Release date
Shang Tsung, the first fighter in the Kombat Pack, released on June 18 for Kombat Pack owners and June 25 for everyone else. He is $5.99 and the price as well as the two-month gap from the game’s launch will likely set a precedent for the other fighters down the line.
Mortal Kombat 11 Nightwolf | Release date
The Mortal Kombat 11 Nightwolf release date has been confirmed. He will come out on August 13 for Kombat Pack owners and August 20 for everyone else. So, if you’re reading this, he’s already out.
This date was leaked by Nintendo. A few eagle-eyed viewers noticed that an image of the date went live before it was supposed to. This is similar to when the Microsoft Store accidentally revealed that Predator was coming to the game.
NetherRealm has teased the Native American warrior a few times but hasn’t confirmed an exact date. However, given how this would be releasing about two months after Shang Tsung (who also took two months) and the source, it seems pretty legitimate.
Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator | Release date
It looks like ol’ Arnie is coming to MK11 and not just the naked Terminator like Gears 5. The MK11 Terminator release date is October 8 for those with the Kombat Pack and October 15 for everyone else.
Mortal Kombat 11 Sindel | Release date
Sindel has only been shown in a teaser render on Ed Boon’s Twitter account. However, that has changed. The MK11 Sindel release date is November 26 for those with the Kombat Pack and December 3 for everyone else.
Mortal Kombat 11 Joker | Release date
While stated in the game’s files, it appears as though Joker is also coming to MK11. The Mortal Kombat 11 Joker release date is January 28, 2020 for people who have bought the Kombat Pack and February 4 for everyone else. This isn’t Injustice anymore, buddy. Prepare to see some Joker blood and then you can figure out how he truly go those scars: Scorpion slit his cheeks up.
Mortal Kombat 11 Spawn | Release date
The Mortal Kombat 11 Spawn release date is a little ways off. He will come out on March 26, 2020 for Kombat Pack owners and April 2 for everyone else.
This makes sense, given how we haven’t even seen how this iconic comic hero looks in NetherRealm’s fighting game. Creator Todd McFarlane recently spoke vaguely about him at Comic-Con 2019 but didn’t not give many specifics. He just seemed excited at what NetherRealm was doing. Again, it seems like he would release around mid-December if NetherRealm keeps putting two months between each DLC fighter. However, the team has not given any official dates.
