It’s been a long time but we have some Spider-Man 1.16 update patch notes. And these aren’t just some bug fixes (because there are no bug fixes here), but some new costumes completely free of charge. Insomniac Games has partnered with Sony and Marvel again to add some new skins from Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is in theaters today. But is there anything else in this 356.7MB patch coming to this PS4 game nearly a year after its launch?
Spider-Man 1.16 Update Patch Notes | New Far From Home skins
This Spider-Man PS4 1.16 update brings forth two free skins from Spider-Man: Far From Home, the first post-Endgame MCU film. It has the Upgraded Suit and the Stealth Suit. The former is the “plain” suit, matching the other “plain” suit from Homecoming that’s already in the game. The second one is, as its title states, a bit more stealthy. It’s covered in black, which is perfect for a sneaky Spidey. You’ll have to watch Far From Home to see why Peter Parker is dawning these Sam Fisher-esque threads. You can check each out in action in the pictures in this article.
You can equip these suits any time after you can switch suits in the story, which is very early on. Chances are that you’ve gotten past that part already. These suits, like all the other DLC suits in the game, also don’t have any special powers associated with it. You can check out the full guide of suits here.
There are no other patch notes for this 1.16 update, unlike the last update that added a few free skins. This is also probably the last drop of suits we will see in the game since there will likely not be much in the way of Spider-Man after Far From Home for at least a few years. Insomniac Games is probably working on the highly anticipated sequel, which we will hopefully see in a few years.
