Injustice: Gods Among Us arrives early on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch and the studio behind the game (and the Mortal Kombat series) has a few tips for aspiring super heroes. Looking to form the ultimate team of super heroes and fight efficiently?
Block and Attack, Block and Attack
The computer will always hope to poke you back after you pull of a combo. Never expect to continuously attack without an interrupt from the computer. Aim to get a full combo in (including the action at the end!) and then prepare to block as the computer uses its own super meter to retaliate. Blocking and attacking needs to form a rhythm in your head. Minimize the amount of damage you take and then react with a heavy combo or power move.
Hold two fingers down on the screen to block. As the computer grows more aggressive and more difficult to overcome, you'll want to rely on blocking a lot, or else face a knockout punch. Tap or swipe repeatedly to attack in combos. The more hits you land in succession, the more meter you'll build.
Don't Sit on that Meter!
You can save your meter up for a ridiculous super move, but it might be more efficient to unleash a move that requires less meter and eats a chunk of your enemy's health. Think about how many opponents are left on the enemy team. Think about how much health each member of your team has left. Measure your meter use against the task ahead of you.
Tag in, Tag out
The point of having three super heroes on your team is to switch between them at will. Don't abandon a member of your team in favor of another. As the computer switches team members, switch yours as well. Choose matchups that benefit your team over the computer's. Even better, you'll get to enjoy the different super powers and animations, which makes the (if you don't spend any money on the game) semi-grind-y gameplay.
Use Support Enhancements
In order to efficiently wipe the computer fighter from your path to dominance, using smart Support Enhancements to power your fighters up. Energy regeneration, extra damage, etc, there are countless modifiers to choose from and neglecting that part of the game will have you knocked out in no time at all.
