Team Combos
Here are more than useful tips on characters and combos we've gathered. As a general tip always keep a rhythm (heavy combo + launch, block, counter attack immediately, repeat), especially with Wonder Woman. Pay attention to attack sequence and try to block as soon as they start to attack. Pay attention to which characters heavy combos launch (Deathstroke, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Wonder Woman, etc), and which ones allow you to immediately resume attacking (Nightwing for example). Sometimes starting attack sequence while an enemy is rising can keep them from getting in at attack of their own.
Keep passive abilities in mind (above silver team gets 15% attack speed, 10% damage, Nightwing gets both and takes 50% damage from basic attacks, with power drain to stop special moves), and reinforce characters. Flash and Joker (high damage, low health) are good bolstered by New 52 Green Lantern and silver Lex Luthor (5% and 25% health, respectively), or bronze Lex Luthor (15% damage to finish fights faster).
Example: A good team of all silver can beat even some gold. A good combo is Harley/Nightwing/Flash: use Harley's first move when you can on Lex, since he'll drain you before you reach 2 bars. When Nightwing hits the field use Ground Sparks when they get just over a bar, keep them from using special moves. Put Flash out for his second move, use it to hammer a lot of damage, then switch. Use Nightwing to soak damage with his passive, and use all heavy combos, keeping them from getting initiative.
Also, it's better to use some characters' second special because it can kill more than one opponent. The third is powerful but only can hurt one adversary.
Keep an eye on following characters:
- Darkseide's passive gives all bronze characters on his team 300% more health and power.
- Bronze Deathstroke paired up with Darkseid will do major damage.
- Deathstroke is also easier to level up than many gold characters.
- Black Adam is really powerful but has weak specials.
- Joker has a really strong heavy attack.
