Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Max Gear Score | What are Gear Levels?
If you played Ghost Recon: Wildlands, you may be surprised to hear that Ubisoft added in a Gear Level system to Breakpoint. Largely, it works just as it does in The Division 2. Essentially, the higher your Gear Score, the better the loot and equipment you’ll find. You will also notice that the Raids, at least, are hidden behind Gear Levels.

You have two types of leveling up to do in Breakpoint. Player Level and Gear Level. Player Level gives your character Skill Points. Gear Level is based on the level of your gear and weapons that you have equipped. Similar to how it works in The Division 2 and Destiny 2. Enemies also have Gear Levels, meaning that they too have better equipment and should be more difficult to take down the higher their Gear Level is. Behemoth Drones, Raids, and Wolf Camps feature enemies with set Gear Levels. Raids should be locked behind Gear Levels, meaning that you will need to have a specific Gear Score at least to enter them.
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Max Gear Score | Is Gear Level 300 the maximum Gear Score?
Unfortunately, the Ghost Recon: Breakpoint max Gear Score and Level is currently unknown. Despite this, we do have some clues as to what might be the maximum Gear Score as of writing. Taking a look at places such as Reddit, you can gather that players have reached certain Gear Score milestones. This thread, for example, suggests that it could well be 250.
At least, one player confirms that there are Wolf Camps with Gear Level enemies of 250+ in the game upon its launch. If you pay attention to this video of the game from Ubisoft, however, you’ll notice that the Gear Score is listed as 300 for three of the four characters. The Ghost Recon: Breakpoint max Gear Score could well be 300 based on this. We certainly haven’t seen anyone get any higher. Just as in The Division 2, however, the Ghost Recon: Breakpoint max Gear Level cap could increase following the release of future game updates. For now, though, it appears to be 300.
