Season Pass Rank reward

The first way to get them is by ranking up in the Season Pass. You get rewarded with an Upgrade Module at eight ranks here. These are at ranks one, four, eight, 11, 16, 19, 22, and 27. After that, however, you’ll be out of luck. While this works, it isn’t exactly a good way to farm Upgrade Modules. Luckily there is a better way.

Visit Banshee-44 Gunsmith

If you head to the Tower and pay a visit to Banshee-44 Gunsmith, you’ll have two ways to earn Upgrade Modules. The first is by taking Bounties from them. There are weekly Bounties for you to complete, and if you are successful, you’ll be gifted with Upgrade Modules.

The best method to get Upgrade Modules, however, is buying them from Banshee-44. They’re very pricey though, so you’ll have to ironically farm other materials first to purchase them. To get one Upgrade Module you’ll need to hand over:

  • 1 Enchantment Core
  • 5,000 Glimmer
  • 10 Legendary Shards
  • 25 of a specific material such as Seraphite, Etheric Spiral, or Helium Filaments

In order to properly farm Upgrade Modules in Destiny 2, you’ll need to acquire these items and materials from missions, side quests, and other activities in the game. It’s a grind to get them, sure, but it’s worth it to farm Upgrade Modules efficiently.
