Is The Outer Worlds Multiplayer?

If you’ve found yourself wondering about The Outer Worlds multiplayer options, the short and sweet answer is that there is no multiplayer options of any kind. This means that there won’t be any kind of co-op or split-screen play in The Outer Worlds. This is an adventure that players are going to have to take without their friends, as they explore the galaxy. However, while you won’t be able to play with a friend, The Outer Worlds will have customizable A.I. companions that will aid you along the way.

Players will be able to choose from six different A.I. companions in The Outer Worlds, and can travel with two at a time. At the time of writing, only three of the companions have been revealed: Ellie, Felix, and Parvati. Each A.I. companion will have their own set of perks and abilities that will serve as an aid to players throughout the game. Unfortunately, not much more is known about the A.I. companions in The Outer Worlds. There is a chance we will get more details ahead of the October 25, 2019 release date. But in all likelihood, we will have to wait until launch to know more. However, there is one thing we can say for sure: there is no multiplayer in The Outer Worlds.
