Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has finally been released, providing gamers with an overhauled take on the Captain Price adventures. While a new single-player campaign is something that fans are perhaps yearning for, what with its absence from last year’s release, there’s still the question of just how long the new story mode takes to complete. How many missions are there in Modern Warfare? Here’s the need to know, including a mission list.
Number of missions in Modern Warfare campaign
There are a total of 14 missions in the Modern Warfare campaign. Together they add up to a campaign length of around 5-6 hours on the Regular difficulty. Expect the hour count to increase if you try and push through on harder variants, however.

Mission length can vary from very short to considerably long, with me personally taking around 30 minutes to complete the more lengthy objectives. If you rush through the more stealth-oriented missions, you could complete the game even faster.
Once you’ve completed the campaign, you’ll be directed to the Spec Ops mode. Here you can “continue the story” with four Operation missions. This is co-op, however, so you may feel that it doesn’t “count” as part of the main campaign.
