Pokemon Sword and Shield Locked Max Raids

While playing through the new Pokemon games you may have noticed that there are some Max Raids with a little padlock symbol on them. There are Pokemon Sword and Shield Locked Max Raids. As you can see in the image above, you will need to input a four-digit Link Code to join in with these Max Raids. Unfortunately, there is only one way in which you can get hold of a Link Code. That is to know the person who made the Max Raid a Locked one and get the Link Code off them.

The only way to join in a Locked Max Raid is to be given the four-digit Link Code for it. We guess you could input four random numbers and get lucky, but that is monumentally unlikely. If you know the person in charge of the Max Raid, they can give you the four-digit Link Code, otherwise, you’re not getting in.

It can be confusing knowing that any Max Raid is Locked. The only way to tell is through the small padlock symbol to the left of the Max Raid information panel. We can easily see how you simply might not notice the symbol while scrolling through the Max Raid list. If you do notice the lock symbol, however, you’re best off ignoring that Locked Max Raid.
