What about those that enjoy Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds on their consoles, though? Whether your chosen platform is PS4 or Xbox One, here’s everything you need to know about when to expect the PUBG 1.35 update.

When is the PUBG 1.35 update coming out?

PUBG 1.35 update

It might come as a surprise to learn that you can actually experience all of the new PUBG content on PlayStation 4 and Xbox right now. PUBG features a main server and a test server, with the latter (predictably) performing as a testing ground to iron out any major issues before changes reach primetime.

In order to access this Public Test Server (PTS), you’ll need to download another version of PUBG to your console. Don’t panic, however, as it’s entirely free to do so if you already own the full game.

How to download PUBG PTS on Xbox One

  • Boot up your Xbox and navigate to “My games & apps”
  • On the “Games” section, switch to the “Ready to install” tab
  • Scroll through the list of games until you reach “PUBG – Public Test Server”
  • Select the game, then select “Install all”

How to download PUBG PTS on PS4

  • Boot up your PS4 and scroll right to reach the “Library”
  • Navigate to the “Purchased” section
  • Scroll through the list of games until you reach “PUBG – Public Test Server”
  • Select the game, then select “Download”

Once the application is downloaded, you’ll be able to access the test servers and play the new content early.

If you’re still wondering when the main game will be updated as you don’t want to play via the PTS, you’ll need to wait until January 30.
