The full Doom Eternal system requirements have finally been revealed. An update posted to the game’s Steam page details the kind of machines players will need to run the latest id Software release. Even better, the power requirements are lower than you might be expecting, though they’re substantially more lofty than the required specs for Doom 2016.

By and large, PC players with moderately powerful or relatively late-model hardware should be able to run Doom Eternal in 1080p at 60 frames-per-second. The minimum requirements call for an i5 or Ryzen processor running around 3.3GHz, while the developers recommend an i7-6700K or better for 1440p or higher frame rates. As usual, 8GB of RAM should be enough to keep gamers in the running, so long as it’s paired with a decent graphics card.

All things considered, the Doom Eternal system requirements aren’t too high. Most players will be able to get by with a fairly new i5 processor and a 4GB GPU. Of course, those who want to enjoy the game with higher resolutions, frame rates, or higher-quality textures will need some extra grunt to back it up. Still, even if your computer isn’t very powerful, it’s always possible to play Doom Eternal on consoles such as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch.
