If you’ve been loving the split-screen support available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you might have been hoping that couch co-op play is also available in the new Warzone game. Can you play Modern Warfare battle royale in split-screen? Here’s what you need to know about Call of Duty: Warzone split-screen support.
Can you play split-screen in Call of Duty: Warzone?
While other Call of Duty: Modern Warfare modes can be played in split-screen on PS4 and Xbox One, with Multiplayer and Co-op supporting a second controller and splitting the television screen in two, the same cannot be said for Warzone.

At the time of writing, it’s not yet possible for players to enjoy Warzone in split-screen. “Press X/A for Player 2” does not appear in this mode, so it’s impossible for a second player to be added.
This will no doubt disappoint co-op buddies who have been enjoying the Modern Warfare Multiplayer on a single screen, as they won’t be able to implement that same set-up for Warzone.
Of course, couch co-op in Call of Duty: Warzone can still be achieved with multiple consoles. Setting up two consoles with two TVs is certainly doable, allowing each player a full-screen experience, with all of the joy of sitting next to your friend or family member.
As for why split-screen isn’t supported by Call of Duty: Warzone, it’s possible that the mode is too taxing for multiple players on the same console. With 150 players all fighting on the same island, it’s reasonable to assume that even powerful consoles like the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro are still being pushed to the brink. Add another player and things would become even more chaotic.
PC players, even with the most high-end hardware, are also excluded from the split-screen experience.
