FF7 Remake Biker Boy Trophy | How to get praised by Jessie in Chapter 4

Getting the Biker Boy trophy in Final Fantasy 7 Remake isn’t too hard, but the description doesn’t give you much to go off of. All it tells you is that you need to get praised by Jessie at the end of the motorcycle mini-game. The Biker Boy trophy is pretty easy to miss your first time through FF7 Remake. Luckily, there’s a way to try it again as many times as you want without the trouble of going all the way back through the game.

How to get the Biker Boy trophy in FF7 Remake

Final Fantasy 7 remake biker boy trophy

To get the Biker Boy trophy in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you have to complete the motorcycle mini-game in Chapter 4: Mad Dash with at least 80% of your health remaining. There are a couple of ways you can do this, and the only thing that really matters is getting to the end of the motorcycle section with 4/5 of your health remaining.

The trophy will pop no matter what difficulty you’re playing on. So, you can set the difficulty down to the easiest setting, which gives you a significantly better chance of making it through the whole mini-game, with 80% of your health remaining. Note, though, that you can’t use the “retry from checkpoint” option from the menu, or you’ll instantly disqualify yourself from getting the trophy.

The big thing to stay aware of when trying to get the Biker Boy trophy in FF7 Remake is projectiles. Don’t get caught up in trying to take down the standard biker grunts and get nailed by the drones or firebomb bikers. You can get through the first section of the mini-game relatively unscathed as long as you keep an eye out for ranged attacks.

Eventually, Roche will show up, and you’ll need to take him down to finish out the chase. Again, his projectiles are your biggest worry. If you can dodge those, you’re good to go. Remember, this chase isn’t timed, so you can play it cautious and go on the offensive when you’re absolutely sure you’re safe. The only goal to get the trophy is to keep your health up.

Obviously, it can be difficult to avoid every attack, especially with Roche. You’ll need to be ready to hit the guard button if you realize an attack is going to hit you. This will diminish the damage you take, but won’t eliminate it entirely.

Finish out the chase with at least 4/5 of your health remaining, and Jesse will be impressed and congratulate you, and the trophy notification will pop up. However, if you didn’t get the trophy your first run, don’t worry, there’s a way to try it over.

Note that there are at least three reactions that Jessie can have, which makes this trophy a bit confusing:

  • Jessie says you failed.
  • Jessie says you passed, but just barely.
  • Jessie kisses Cloud on the cheek. (Trophy Unlock)

Can I retry the Chapter 4 motorcycle mini-game over in FF7 Remake for the Biker Boy Trophy?

Final Fantasy 7 Remake New Game Plus Warning

Fortunately, if you mess up the motorcycle mini-game, you can try it again as many times as you’d like. Once you finish the game, you’ll get access to the chapter selection menu. From here, you can start Chapter 4 over as many times as you’d like.

With some events, like the Wall Market dresses, you’ll need to play through a whole chapter to save your progress. Once you’ve unlocked a trophy, though, it’s permanent. So, you can continue to restart Chapter 4 as many times as it takes for you to get Biker Boy, and when you get the trophy, you’re good to switch to another section of the game.
