Fortnite Update 12.60 Patch Notes | May 20 Downtime

Fortnite update 12.60 releases today, and with it comes a few hours of maintenance downtime. Beginning at 2 am ET, the Fortnite servers will be down as the game is updated to patch 12.60. This Fortnite patch doesn’t bring any significant additions to the game, but it does have a few bugfixes for Battle Royale, Creative Mode, and Save the World that are welcome.

Fortnite Downtime May 20 | How long will the servers be down?

The Fortnite servers are scheduled to go down on May 20 at 2 am ET. Typically, for smaller updates like this, players will only have to wait around 2-3 hours to sign back on. Expect the servers to be back up around 4–5 am ET.

Fortnite Update 12.60 Patch Notes

As stated above, Fortnite patch 12.60 doesn’t bring a lot of new content to the game. Instead, it’s mostly comprised of fixes for a host of different issues. The notes below are a preliminary list, and the full patch notes will be added when they become available.

Fortnite Battle Royale Update 12.60 Bugfixes

  • The Dragacorn Glider animations should be fixed. The glider will appear normal when equipped by players and will no longer be replaced by the default glider.
  • The Riot Control Baton will be readded to the game and will no longer appear as the default Pickaxe.
  • Hit damage indicators will no longer appear in the wrong direction.

Fortnite Creative Mode Update 12.60 Bugfixes

  • The seam that could appear running down the island on Fortnite Mobile will no longer appear.

Fortnite Save the World Update 12.60 Bugfixes

  • Ammo will no longer be consumed when a weapon is dropped then picked back up.
  • Exploding Deathbombs will no longer deal damage to objectives through building materials.
  • Black Metal Weapons will correctly calculate self-damage when players land a critical hit.
