The Last of Us 2 All Weapons Guide | Hunting pistol
The first place you can get the hunting pistol is in Abby’s Seattle Day 1 in the On Foot sub-chapter. When you meet back up with Manny and the dog after the boat warehouse, Mel and Abby will be dropped into an area just before having to drop down yet again into a train yard. Don’t do that just yet! Instead explore that area. You’ll see a rectangular building but with no unlocked doors.
That’s fine. Just grab a brick and break a window to jump inside like in the above picture.
From there, you’ll see some collectibles and a document that talks about the “big win” as being a code to a safe.
Now look around. While the fishing poster is tempting, the code is actually on a small lottery ticket sign: 17-38-07.
But now you have to find the safe. Go back near the train yard drop (again, don’t drop down yet) and you’ll see a crack in the wall in the nearby building. Slip inside.
The safe is just inside. Punch in the code and you’ll see your new hunting pistol.
It is very powerful but ammo is limited. You can also craft if it you find the right Training Manual.
The Last of Us 2 All Weapons Guide | Double barrel shotgun
The double barrel shotgun is also in Abby’s Seattle Day 1 but under the Hostile Territory sub-chapter. After separating from Manny and killing some Infected, you’ll eventually have to squeeze through a door. Shortly after that, you’ll find this alley.
Go down that alley and enter the Ruby Dragon shop as you can see in the above picture. Go through the brown door in the back and then head up the stairs. There are Clickers in that room so crawl under the table near the register. Clear out the Clickers.
Once the Clickers are cleared out, sprint jump across to the other side of the alley. Aim your jump between the red broken guardrail. Once you leap over, go into the opening on the left and scavenge the items inside (don’t miss the special Easter egg in there!). Now jump down the hole in the ground to get to the ground floor of the King Street Relics shop.
You’ll see the double barrel shotgun behind the counter on the ground floor.
The Last of Us 2 All Weapons Guide | Crossbow
You’ll get the crossbow as a part of the game in the Seattle Day 1 chapter in the sub-chapter called The Coast. Once you make your way to the ferry boat, you will eventually have to go up some curved stairs and open a door. It will be a struggle, but the crossbow will be on the other side. You can’t miss this weapon.
The Last of Us 2 All Weapons Guide | Flamethrower
The flamethrower is in the Seattle Day 2 chapter in the sub-chapter called The Descent. After getting the mask for Lev and you climb down and you sidle across a high ledge, an enemy will shortly jump out of a wall and attack you.
Continue on until you have to sprint jump down one level. You then either have to walk across a narrow beam or jump across a ledge with a sneaky Clicker on the other side. Now continue until you get to the above hallway. It’s pretty dark, but there are two doors there: one in front that leads down and one on the right that leads to a bathroom.
The closest flamethrower is through that bathroom. Walk over that small beam and you’ll see it in the next room right on a dead guy, as shown in the above picture (high contrast mode makes it easier to see). That is the easier and earlier one to grab.
However, you can also drop down and continue on until you hit the room in the above picture with some Clickers.
The flamethrower will be sitting on the couch, which you’ll have to pull off.
The Last of Us 2 All Weapons Guide | Silenced SMG
The final weapon in the game is unmissable and in the Santa Barbara chapter at the end of the Pushing Inland sub-chapter. Once you get caught in a certain cutscene and pull the gun off the enemy character attacking you, you’ll have the silenced SMG for the rest of the game. It’s incredibly powerful but burns up ammo pretty quickly. You should get the High Caliber trophy as the next chapter loads in and you gain control.
