Class Guide (Part 2)







Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn also includes specialized classes, called jobs. In order to use them, players must level up two separate classes to a specified number. Listed below are the various jobs and their requirements.



Bard (Requires Archer Lvl 30 and Pugilist Lvl 15)

 
Action Level Cooldown Time Description
Mage's Ballad 30 2.5s Refreshes MP of all nearby party members while lowering own damage dealt by 20%.

MP is drained while singing.

Refresh effect is lost if party members move out of hearing distance, and ends upon reuse.

Cannot be used with other songs.
Foe Requiem 35 2.5s Reduces elemental resistances of all enemies by 10%.

MP is drained while singing.

Effect is lost if targets move out of hearing distance, and ends upon reuse.

Cannot be used with other songs.
Army's Paeon 40 2.5s Refreshes TP of all nearby party members while lowering own damage dealt by 20%.

MP is drained while singing.

Refresh effect is lost if party members move out of hearing distance, and ends upon reuse.

Cannot be used with other songs.
Rain of Death 45 2.5s Delivers an attack with a potency of 100 to the target and all enemies near it.

Additional Effect: Lowers target's evasion by 10% for 20s

Additional Effect: 15% chance next Quick Nock will cost no TP for 10s.
Battle Voice 50 300s Doubles the effectiveness of all songs for 30s.

Does not work with Swiftsong.


Black Mage (Requires Thaumaturge Lvl 30 and Archer Lvl 15)

 
Action Level MP Cost Cooldown Time Description
Convert 30 0 180s Sacrifices 20% of maximum HP to restore 30% of MP.

Cannot be executed when current HP is lower than 20%.
Freeze 35 532 2.5s Covers a designated area in ice, dealing ice damage with a potency of 20 and binding enemies that enter for 15s.

Additional Effect: Grants Umbral Ice for 10s or removes Astral Fire.
Apocatastasis 40 0 180s Reduces a party member's magic vulnerability by 20% for 12s.

Cannot be reused on an individual for 60s from when the effect wears off.

Cannot be cast on self.
Manawall 45 0 120s Creates a barrier that nullifies two physical attacks for 20s.
Flare 50 100% 2.5s Deals fire damage with a potency of 260 to a target and enemies near it.

Additional Effect: Grants Astral Fire III for 10s or removes Umbral Ice.


Dragoon (Requires Lancer Lvl 30 and Marauder Lvl 15)

 
Action Level Cooldown Time Description
Jump 30 40s Delivers a jumping attack with a potency of 200. Returns you to your original position after the attack is made.

Cannot be executed while bound.
Elusive Jump 35 180s Executes a jump to a location 15y behind you, while removing any Heavy or Bind effects.

Additional Effect: Reduces enmity.
Spineshatter Dive 40 90s Delivers a jumping attack with a potency of 170.

Additional Effect: Stun for 2s.

Cannot be executed while bound.
Power Surge 45 90s Increases the damage dealt by one Jump or Spineshatter Dive by 50% for 10s.
Dragonfire Dive 50 180s Delivers a jumping fire-based attack with a potency of 250 to all nearby enemies.

Cannot be executed while bound.


Monk (Requires Pugilist Lvl 30 and Lancer Lvl 15)

 
Action Level TP Cost Cooldown Time Description
Rockbreaker 30 120 2.5s Delivers an attack with a potency of 130 to all enemies in a cone before you.

Can only be used when in coeurl form.

Additional Effect: Changes form to opo-opo for 10s.

Additional Effect: Grants Greased Lightning for 12s.

Greased Lightning Bonus: Increases damage dealt by 9% and attack speed by 5%.
Shoulder Tackle 35 120 90s Rushes to target and delivers an attack with a potency of 100.

Additional Effect: Stun for 2s.

Cannot be executed while bound.
Fists of Fire 40 0 3s Increases damage dealt by 5%.

Cannot be used with Fists of Earth or Fists of Wind and shares cooldown with both.

Effect ends upon reuse.
One Ilm Punch 45 60 2.5s Delivers an attack with a potency of 80.

Can only be used when in raptor form.

Additional Effect: Removes one beneficial status from target.

Additional Effect: Changes form to coeurl for 10s.
Dragon Kick 50 60 2.5s Delivers an attack with a potency of 100.150 when delivered from a target's flank.

Opo-opo Form Bonus: Reduces target's blunt resistance and Intelligence by 10% for 15s.

Additional Effect: Changes form to raptor for 10s.


Paladin (Requires Gladiator Lvl 30 and Conjurer Lvl 15)

 
Action Level Cooldown Time Description
Sword Oath 30 2.5s Increases the potency of auto-attacks by 50.

Cannot be used with Shield Oath.

Effect ends upon reuse.
Cover 35 120s Takes all physical damage intended for another party member for 12s.

Can only be used when the party member is 10y or closer.
Shield Oath 40 2.5s Reduces damage received by 20% and increases enmity, while lowering damage dealt by 20%.

Cannot be used with Sword Oath.

Effect ends upon reuse.
Spirits Within 45 30s Delivers an attack with a potency of 300.

Potency decreases as HP decreases.

Additional Effect: Silence for 1s.
Hallowed Ground 50 420s Renders you impervious to most attacks for 10s.


Scholar (Requires Arcanist Lvl 30 and Conjurer Lvl 15)

 
Action Level Cooldown Time Description
Adloquium 30 2.5s Restores target's HP. Cure Potency: 300

Additional Effect: Erects a magicked barrier which nullifies damage equaling the amount of HP restored. When critical HP is restored, damage nullification is doubled for 30s.
Succor 35 2.5s Restores own HP and the HP of all nearby party members. Cure Potency: 150

Additional Effect: Erects a magicked barrier which nullifies damage equaling the amount of HP restored for 30s.
Leeches 40 2.5s Removes a single detrimental effect from target.
Sacred Scroll 45 30s Creates a designated area in which party members will only suffer 90% of all damage inflicted for 15s.

Additional Effect: 20% chance that next Succor will cost no MP for 15s.

Can only be used when under the effect of Aetherflow
Lustrate 50 1s Restores 25% of target's maximum HP.

Only available when under the effect of Aetherflow.


Summoner (Requires Arcanist Lvl 30 and Thaumaturge Lvl 15)

 
Action Level Cooldown Time Description
Summon III 30 2.5s Summons an attacker-type pet to fight at your side.
Fester 35 10s Cause wounds inflicted by Bio, Bio II, and Miasma to fester, dealing damage with a potency of 100 for each effect.

Can only be used when the original spells were cast by you, and when under the effect of Aetherflow.
Tri-disaster 40 2.5s Deals unaspected damage with a potency of 30 to target and all targets nearby it.

Additional Effect: Bind for 20s.
Spur 45 120s Increases a pet's physical and magical attack power by 40% for 20s.
Enkindle 50 300s Commands pet to use its signature attack.


Warrior (Requires Marauder Lvl 30 and Gladiator Lvl 15)

 
Action Level Cooldown Time Description
Defiance 30 10s Increases maximum HP by 25%, while lowering damage dealt by 25% and increasing enmity.

Increases HP recovery via curing magic by 20% for self. Ends upon reuse.

Using certain actions while under the effect of Defiance will grant Wrath.

Each unit of Wrath increases critical hit rate by 2%. When five units are stacked, you will become Infuriated.

All Wrath is lost when Defiance ends.
Inner Beast 35 2.5s Delivers an attack with a potency of 300.

Ignores the 25% damage penalty inflicted by Defiance.

Can only be executed when Infuriated. All Wrath is lost when used.

Additional Effect: Absorb 100% of damage dealt as HP

Additional Effect: Reduces damage taken by 20%
Unchained 40 120s Nullifies the damage penalty inflicted by Defiance for 20s.

Can only be executed when Infuriated. All Wrath is lost when used.

Effect is canceled if Defiance ends.
Steel Cyclone 45 2.5s Delivers an attack with a potency of 200 to all nearby enemies.

Ignores the 25% damage penalty inflicted by Defiance.

Can only be executed when Infuriated. All Wrath is lost when used.

Additional Effect: Increased enmity
Infuriate 50 60s Instantly grants five units of Wrath, changing status to Infuriated.

Can only be used when Defiance is active.


White Mage (Requires Conjurer Lvl 30 and Arcanist Lvl 15)

Presence of Mind 30 0 150s Increases casting speed of spells for 15s.
Regen 35 319 2.5s Grants healing over time effect with cure potency of 150 to target for 21s.
Divine Seal 40 0 60s Increases healing magic potency by 30% for 15s.
Holy 45 532 3.5s Deals magic damage with potency of 240 to all nearby enemies.

Additional Effect: Stun for 4s
Benediction 50 0 300s Restores all of a target's HP.
