Pokemon Sword & Shield Crown Tundra Spread My Voice puzzle

Pokemon Sword & Shield Crown Tundra Spread My Voice puzzle

The Pokemon Sword and Shield expansion The Crown Tundra is full of mysteries. One of these puzzling circumstances happens when players find a tombstone etched with the phrase “Spread my voice.” It’s clearly meant to imply something, but without more direct clues, trainers are left without an idea of what to do. Here’s what spread my voice means in Crown Tundra and how to solve the puzzle of the tombstone.

Crown Tundra - Spread My Voice tombstone puzzle solution

The tombstone that says “spread my voice” is located to the west of Ballimere Lake, not too far from the Dyna Hill fast travel point. Aside from the engraving itself, no other clues given as to what to do. The tombstone only seems to imply that a voice must be spread across the land.

Fortunately, we know how to solve the puzzle. “Spread my voice” is call to action, urging trainers to speak with other players around them. In order to fulfill the tombstone’s request, you need to speak with other trainers through the game’s online mode.

Connect online and speak to other trainers

If you haven’t tried out internet-based functions yet, don’t worry, it’s easy. You can connect online by first pressing the Y button. This will bring up the Y-Comm menu. From there, press the Plus (+) button to jump into an online server.

Once you connect online, you’ll be able to see and interact with other trainers in the area. It helps to go somewhere popular, such as around fast travel points, landmarks, or any wild areas where others congregate. Your task is to speak with as many other players as possible.

It will take some time — word among fans is that you’ll need to speak with at least 32 players. Some suggest that you may have to interact with up to 50 different players to complete the puzzle’s requirements. Regardless of the specific number, they must be unique players — you can’t just keep speaking with the same person.

Find and fight Spiritomb

After your voice has been adequately spread, return once more to the tombstone. When you arrive, you’ll notice things are a bit different. The head stone will read “I have been heard.” With the prerequisite complete, you should spot a very much alive-looking Spiritomb. If it hasn’t spawned, try leaving and then returning to the area again.

Approach the creature to begin the battle. Spiritomb is a Ghost- and Dark-type monster, so Bug, Fairy, and Fighting-type Pokemon will be most effective against it. This little baddie shouldn’t prove too be too difficult, especially if you’ve already tracked down one of the many legendary Pokemon in The Crown Tundra. Fight it, capture it, and rest easy knowing one of the game’s more elusive monsters has been added to your Pokemon Sword and Shield Pokedex.
