Sea of Thieves‘ seasonal Plunder Passes work like a Battle Pass in most other online multiplayer games. Pirates earn tiered rewards depending on how much they play within a season, though, in SoT Season Three, some users aren’t getting credit for their unlocks. So, is there a quick and easy Sea of Thieves Plunder Pass rewards not unlocking fix? Here’s the need-to-know info on the Season Three Plunder Pass reward glitch.
Sea of Thieves Plunder Pass rewards not unlocking bug fix
If Sea of Thieves Plunder Pass rewards don’t immediately unlock, reboot SoT to make the relevant reward appear in-game.
This simple SoT Plunder Pass rewards workaround doesn’t take long, though is still a slight inconvenience. Players can rest assured, however, that developer Rare is aware of the issue and working to implement an official fix. The dev team lists Sea of Thieves Plunder Pass rewards not unlocking as a “known issue” with a fix currently in the works.
As of the latest Sea of Thieves patch, unfortunately, there isn’t a dedicated solution. Of course, there’s still this workaround that ensures none of the Plunder Pass rewards are actually lost forever. Every cloud has a silver lining, as the saying goes!
The Plunder Pass is a premium unlock, so, understandably, paying customers aren’t likely to be happy about the issue. All players get access to free in-game progression rewards, which are unlocking as expected in Sea of Thieves Season Three. Plunder Pass holders should receive bonus rewards on top, but it’s taking extra leg work to actually claim them right now.
