The release date for Star Trek: Lower Decks season 2 episode 2 will be here before fans know it. Unlike many streaming series these days, Lower Decks is being released in a traditional weekly format, which means it’ll be running from August 12 until October 14. We’ll take a look at when viewers can expect Lower Decks season 2 episode 2 below.
What time and date will Star Trek: Lower Decks season 2 episode 2 release?
In the US, fans can expect Star Trek: Lower Decks season 2 episode 2 to release on Paramount+ on August 19, 2021. The episodes drop at 12:01 am PDT/3:01 am EDT, so keep an eye out for them then.
Canadian fans can look for the episodes to release on CTV Sci-Fi channel and Z on the same day. Crave will stream episodes of Lower Decks in Canada, but we’re not sure if it’ll air on the same day or a subsequent one.
While the first season didn’t air internationally until January of this year, Amazon Prime Video should be streaming the second season in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and India at the same time as the US and Canada.
We don’t have many details on what the rest of the season will be like, but we did get some hints about episode 2. Star Trek: Lower Decks season 2 episode 2 is titled “Kayshon, His Eyes Open” and centers around a Tamarian joining the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos. Trek fans will recall the Tamarian race from the iconic The Next Generation episode “Darmok.” This species communicates entirely using metaphors, meaning that they’re almost impossible to talk to if one doesn’t have extensive knowledge of their cultural history.
Fans can expect further episodes to become available each Thursday at 12 am PDT/3 am EDT until episode 10 airs on October 14. Fortunately, the series has been renewed for a third season, so we can expect even more Lower Decks to drop around this time next year.
