The reveal of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 foldable smartphones have iOS users wondering when Apple will catch up. Many within the iOS ecosystem are hoping to see a folding iPhone — specifically the iPhone 13 Flip — become available soon. But, is there an iPhone folding screen release date on the horizon? Here’s the latest on the Apple foldable phone plans.
Is the iPhone 13 Flip coming out?
Apple’s first folding iPhone is most likely two or three years away from launching. It’s unlikely that an iPhone 13 Flip will happen, though there could be an iPhone 15 Flip or an iPhone 16 Flip launch between 2023 and 2024.
According to Bloomberg’s Apple and tech columnist, Mark Gurman, iOS users shouldn’t expect to see a folding screen iPhone for at least a couple of years. The revelation comes from Gurman’s “Power On” newsletter, which directly contradicts recent rumors surrounding an upcoming iPhone Flip model.
Historically, iPhones tend to adopt features that debut on Android models (namely the Samsung Galaxy range) at a later date. Should the tech giant launch an iPhone Flip in a couple of years’ time, that would fit the typical mold. Of course, it’s only possible to speculate right now without any official word from Apple. Stay tuned to GameRevolution for any and all folding iPhone Flip updates as and when new information drops.
In other news, despite the rumors, iFunny isn’t shutting down. There’s also been a significant change to Twitter — as of yesterday, there’s a brand-new font on the website, iPhone, and Android apps.
