DDR5 RAM was just introduced a few months ago, and it’s already facing stock shortages. DDR5 is out of stock at every retailer, which isn’t helped by the relatively small selection that’s currently being produced. Unfortunately, this is leaving many people unable to use new PC hardware that requires this new memory to function.
Where can I find DDR5 RAM if it’s out of stock?
There are only a few retailers that are currently stocking DDR5 RAM. Amazon, Best Buy, Corsair, Crucial, and Newegg all have listings for DDR5 memory in varying sizes, but as of writing, none is available for purchase.
Here are the current listings for DDR5 RAM on Amazon:
- ADATA Premier DDR5 4800MHz 16GB UDIMM Memory RAM Module Kit
- Crucial RAM 8GB DDR5 4800MHz CL40 Desktop Memory
- Crucial RAM 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR5 4800MHz CL40 Desktop Memory
- Crucial RAM 16GB DDR5 4800MHz CL40 Desktop Memory
- Crucial RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5 4800MHz CL40 Desktop Memory
- Crucial RAM 32GB DDR5 4800MHz CL40 Desktop Memory
- Crucial RAM 64GB Kit (2x32GB) DDR5 4800MHz CL40 Desktop Memory

- XPG Lancer DDR5 5200MHz 32GB (2x16GB) RAM Module Kit
Unfortunately, there’s no estimate as to when DDR5 RAM will be back in stock. Since it’s only supported by some Z690 motherboards, it’s not in high demand relative to DDR4, and production is just now winding up for it. There are also still shipping issues worldwide, which means shipments from RAM manufacturers in Asia are taking much longer than usual.
Those trying to purchase DDR5 RAM should be patient and set up product notifications at the above websites. As shipping conditions improve, more and more DDR5 memory should be making its way to warehouses, and stock should increase.
