Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Release Date: When will it come to the US and UK?

Fans are wondering when a Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero release date will be announced for the US and UK. The last few Dragon Ball movies came West pretty quickly, so fans are anticipating seeing it not too long after it releases in Japan. However, that might not be the case this time around. We’ll take a look at when Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero might be in theaters or on streaming below.

When will Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero release in the US and UK?

There is currently no Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero release date for the US and UK. The film will premiere in Japan on April 22, 2022, but Toei hasn’t announced any info concerning theatrical releases or streaming rights outside its home territory.

One thing that could be affecting a worldwide theatrical distribution is the acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney. The previous film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, was distributed outside of Japan by 20th Century Fox Japan, and this relationship may have been affected by Disney’s buyout.

Funimation Films had announced Dragon Ball Super: Broly was coming to the United States over six months before its premiere. Since we’ve heard no word concerning Super Hero there may be some sort of issue. Alternatively, we may hear about a US and UK release any day now.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero reaches back into Dragon Ball history for its premise. This time, we’re going all the way back to the Red Ribbon Army. In Super Hero, the Red Ribbon Army has been reformed and has produced even more powerful Androids called Gamma 1 and Gamma 2.

It will be interesting to see how the movie handles the power creep since Goku and Vegeta are two of the strongest fighters in the multiverse. It’s going to be a bit weird if some randos on Earth can make Androids that are more powerful than the gods.
