Quordle Answer 104: May 8, 2022 Word Solution

The Quordle 104 answer has been revealed for May 8, 2022. Today’s puzzle is one of the more challenging ones we’ve seen so far. The top-right word in particular is extremely tricky because of its first two letters, while the bottom-left word can be hard as it begins and ends with vowels in unusual placements. Need a hint for the top-right word? Then let’s say that it is medical in origin. Still need help? Well, we’ve got the full solution below.

What is the Quordle answer 104? (May 8, 2022)

Quordle Answer 104

The Quordle answer 104 is:

  • “BRAKE”
  • “AORTA”
  • “OPERA”
  • “HASTY”

The second word “AORTA” will likely give you the most trouble because it starts with the rare double vowel “AO” and is the name of the largest blood vessel in the human body. Not only does it end with an “A” which is uncommon, but since the “A” appears twice, you may not think that the word begins with it too.

The other three words aren’t pushovers, either. “BRAKE” has a “B” and a “K” which are uncommon letters, “HASTY” ends with a “Y,” and “OPERA” also ends with the tricky “A” (though that may help you figure out “AORTA”).

As opposed to classic Wordle, Quordle has three more guesses for a total of nine, to help you figure out all four words of the grid. Because of this, the best opening salvo is slightly different; it’s recommended that you the first three words should have distinct letters and include all of the vowels so that you can eliminate as many words as possible. Only when you’ve reached the fourth guess should you try to work out all the confirmed letters in the yellow and green.

Upon completing today’s daily puzzle, you can use the practice section of the official Quordle site to play more. Altering your device’s internal clock by a day backward or forward will grant you access to more daily puzzles, but that can break your browser’s cookies for the game. So if choose to do this, it’s best to use a different browser altogether or play Quordle on a different device.
