The Quordle 113 answer has been discovered for May 17, 2022. While none of the words in today’s puzzle are rare (like “SYNOD” from an earlier Quordle), three of the words this time around have double letters, increasing the difficulty more than you might expect. The trickiest of the bunch is the bottom-right word because the double letter is relatively uncommon. If you need a hint, it has something to do with doors. Need more help? What is the Quordle answer 113? (May 17, 2022)
The Quordle answer 113 is:
- “FULLY”
- “PURER”
- “FISHY”
- “KNOCK”
“KNOCK” is the most challenging word of the four. While you will probably figure out that the word only has the one vowel as the “O,” it may take a few tries to realize that it’s the “K” that is both the first and last position. There aren’t too many five-letter words that begin with “KNO-” so it won’t be too surprising if you have to take a moment to work it out.
Both “FULLY” and “FISHY” should be relatively easy to solve, and getting one of those words will likely help you in working out the other given the “F” in the first position and the “Y” in the last one. “PURER” might make you use a few additional guesses too given the double “R” consonant and the possibility of getting the “?URER” partial solution which has multiple solutions.
If you have experience with classic Wordle, you’ll understand that Quordle gives you three more tries, which doesn’t seem like a lot when you have four words to figure out. But that still leaves enough time for you to strategically input three guesses that will cover the majority of common letters (think Wheel of Fortune bonus round) as well as all of the vowels (including the “Y”). With this strategy, you can usually figure out words by the fourth guess from all of the letters that are highlighted green or yellow.
As usual, the practice section of the official Quordle website will give you more opportunities to play additional puzzles. You can also gain access to daily puzzles in the past or the future by moving your the date on your device forward or backward. But be warned: This runs the risk of permanently altering your browser’s cookie settings. So if you choose to do this, you may want to consider playing the game on a different browser altogether.
