V Rising No Room to Build Castle Heart

V Rising Can’t Place Castle Heart: No Room to Build

Shortly after you start V Rising, you’ll be prompted to place your Castle Heart. It’s a pretty straightforward task in concept, but what if you can’t find the room to build it? We’ll take a look at what you should do if you find yourself unable to construct your castle due to lack of space once you have the resources.

Where can I place my Castle Heart in V Rising if there’s no room?

V Rising Server Activity

If you find yourself on a server where there’s no room to place your Castle Heart in V Rising, there’s not much you can do. Your only options are:

  • Keep searching for unoccupied space
  • Wait for someone’s castle to decay
  • Join another server

Keep searching for unoccupied space

Even if a server seems completely packed with castles in V Rising, the chances that there are no plots left on the whole map are astronomically low. The main issue is that every player is prompted to place their Castle Heart when they’re in the starting area, Farbane Woods. That means this location becomes overwhelmed with vampiric castles shortly after a server goes up.

Unfortunately, the further out you get from the starting point, the tougher your foes will be. So, don’t plan on going too far into Silverlight Hills or Dunley Farmlands.

Wait for someone’s castle to decay

In V Rising, castle decay is a mechanic that is meant to address the issue of players building a castle and then not logging in again. If a player doesn’t log in and feed their Castle Heart Blood Essence, their castle will start to decay. After a while, its defenses will weaken, and other vampires can attack and destroy it. It can take a long time for a castle to decay though, which might change as the game inches toward patch 1.0.

Join another server

If you find yourself unable to place your Castle Heart in V Rising, the most realistic approach is just to find another server. On the server list, you’ll see an activity rating, and you should try and shoot for a Medium one. That means there should be other players to interact with, and plenty of land left to build upon.
