The Quordle 149 answer for June 22, 2022 has been solved. The RNG gods have finally decided to give us a bit of a break with this puzzle, as it shouldn’t give you much trouble at all. Three of the words start with the same letter, and there’s only one instance of a double letter to trip you up. If you can find that letter, it simplifies the puzzle greatly. For a hint for the most challenging word, which is the one in the top-left position, it refers to a type of shellfish. Need more help? As suggested earlier, “CONCH” presents the most challenge here, particularly if you aren’t able to get the “C” consonant that appears four times throughout the solution. It’s not the most uncommon letter in the alphabet, though, and getting “CHASE” or “CROWD” will make getting the first word fairly easy. “CHASE” will also get you that “H” consonant. So taken altogether, there aren’t that many words with a “C”, “O,” “N,” and “H,” so it isn’t terribly risky to try going for “CONCH” and knowing that this is probably the right word. That “H” in the second position will also help you nail down the “THRUM,” especially when it comes to figuring out the last “M” letter to complete the answer.
There’s no need to use any advanced technique for Quordle 149. Just following the basic strategy of typing in three words that cover all the high-frequency consonants (like “R”, “S,” “T,” “N,” and “L”) as well as all six vowels will get you most of the way there. If you’re lucky with your choices, hopefully you’ll also get the “H” or the “C” early on in the puzzle.
